Nail scissors for baby with large handles:

It starts at the hospital! The baby scratches itself with those thin, long finger nails and you want to cut them to prevent it from happening again. They give you a nail file, which doesn't really work, and then suddenly.........tiny clippers appear from somewhere. Tiny little nail clippers that are made for tiny baby hands (is the baby supposed to use them?). They are horrible! I have found that the risk of clipping more than the nail is big if you use clippers. With scissors you have more "feel" and aim. If you are still shaky about cutting baby's nails put some socks on baby's hands to prevent scratching. Sadie, 5 months, willingly held on to the scissors (with the cover on) for a few pictures but has promised not to play with them when mom is not around!

The perfect pair of scissors for cutting tiny nails.
Large handles, made for adult hands, makes cutting easier.
Blades are stainless steel with blunt tips, for safety.
