Evenflo Comfort Select Breast Feeding Nipple:
Evenflo has brought it back, a wide neck nipple that fits standard bottles!
What a smart idea! The benefits of a breast like nipple without having to buy expensive, toxic wide neck bottles.
The discontinued "Evenflo Ultra nipple" is now called Evenflo Comfort select breast feeding nipple. It's wide base and round, short nipple closely mimics the breast. Since a proper latch is crucial when nursing, choosing the right nipple is key. Using long skinny nipples teaches baby the wrong technique. It is important to pick a nipple that allows baby to use the same tongue and jaw motions that is used at the breast. Most wide neck bottles have nipples that are way too long.

As always with silicone nipples: Do NOT screw them on too tightly or the nipple will collapse. Look for the slow trickle of bubbles coming from the ring 2 to 10 seconds after baby starts eating = correct tightness!
If your baby does well on a particular flow nipple, there is no reason to switch it out when they get older. Their sucking ability usually doesn't get weaker as they get older. The age reference on nipple packages is silly. Your baby has the right nipple if it takes him/her about 20 to 30 minutes to finish a bottle. If they get used to a really fast flow nipple they may start refusing the breast, so keep the nipple flow on the slow side.
A short, wide base nipple teaches proper latching and sucking.
Fits most standard bottles. Evenflo, Gerber, Medela etc.
Nipple shape and length is very similar to the breast and eases transition.
Slow, Medium and Fast flow.
